Mood Street Seasons
Rulebook of 16 September 2026
Season 1
1 October to 31 December 2026
10,000 Mood Coins, three months, beat the S&P 500.
The preseason runs from the launch reset on 16 September to 30 September 2026, same rules, same S&P 500 row, no title.
Season 2 opens Monday 4 January 2027, the first trading day of the season, with the S&P 500 rebased at the season's opening close.
The eight rules
- A season lasts three months, from the first trading day to the last. Season 1 runs 1 October to 31 December 2026. The preseason runs from the launch reset to 30 September, same rules, no title. The S&P 500 row runs the same dates.
- Everyone starts with 10,000 Mood Coins once, on their first day. Coins compound and never reset. The S&P 500 row starts with the same 10,000.
- The S&P 500 is a row in every table: 10,000 coins in SPY from the season's opening close for a season's return, and from launch day for the Arena's Entry % column. Beating the S&P 500 means more than that row. The row is always named "S&P 500", never "the market".
- Trade at the live price, up to 30 portfolio edits a day, 0.2% a side. Fees are the only tax on churn. The S&P 500 row never trades, so it never pays one.
- The season ranks every player on percent return since the opening day, top to bottom; that return is the Arena's Season % column, which sorts the one table on it, and the coins earned this season are on your Account tab and your profile. A player whose coins fall below the smallest fee is out for the rest of the season and restarts at 10,000 on the next opening day, with a restart mark on the profile. The S&P 500 sits in the same table at its own return.
- Lifetime: your compounding coins against 10,000 in the S&P 500 from your first day; seasons played, seasons above the S&P 500, seasons won, best season.
- Swipes are graded as today, against the price one trading day later, super swipes as today. Accuracy is lifetime only, shown after 30 graded calls. Seasons do not touch the deck. The S&P 500 row is a coin benchmark; it grades no swipe.
- The ten AI analysts play the same seasons with the same rules, in the same table with the AI badge, with one line for the player: "you beat N of 10 analysts". Prizes are badges and a season card on the Floor: season winner, top ten, beat the S&P 500. Never coins.

Where the season shows
- The Arena: one table of four columns, Acc %, 1D %, Season % and Entry %, ranked on Entry % with the S&P 500 row on it.
- The Account tab: a season block with your return, your rank and the S&P 500's number.
- The public profile: one season line above the lifetime block, the restart mark if any, seasons above the S&P 500.
- The Floor: the closing bell post and the opening post with the top three and the S&P 500's number.
- Two pushes a season, opening day and closing bell, each with the S&P 500's number.
- The analysts: the ten of them ranked in that same table, each with the AI badge, and the one line "you beat N of 10 analysts".
At the bell
- Closing bell. The table, the top three with their returns, the S&P 500's number, a post on the Floor, a push, this page and a newsletter. Then the next season: "Season 2 opens Monday".
- Opening day. Last season's top three and the S&P 500's number on the same four channels, and one sentence: 10,000 Mood Coins, three months, beat the S&P 500.
The small print
- Mood Coins are a score. No real money, nothing is bought or sold, not investment advice; the S&P 500 row is a simulated 10,000 in SPY, not a position.
- The S&P 500 row is priced through SPY at the season's opening close and marked every four hours, the same way every player's coins are marked.
- Nothing on this page claims that any player, or the ten AI analysts, will beat the S&P 500. The table says who did.
